Here are a few answers to the most frequently asked questions for the aluminium dross recovery machine

1.What is the difference between dross processing and dross recycling machines?

Our aluminium dross processing machine is mainly for hot aluminium dross generated from aluminium furnace.  

Aluminium dross recycling machine can include aluminum dross processing machine, aluminium dross cooling machine, aluminium dross sieving machine, aluminum dross magnetic separator, aluminium dross crushing machine, aluminum dross pulverizer, aluminium dross ball mill etc.

2.Are these machines suitable for aluminium remelt facilities (secondary)? We have plants which produce between 100  – 1000 MT/day both primary and secondary

3.How much aluminium is recovered which can be charged back into melting furnace?

More than 90% aluminum content can be recovered from aluminium dross.

4.Can this be used for both white and black dross?

Our dross processing machine mainly is for hot aluminium dross.

Also we can offer tilting rotary furnace for aluminium dross.  

For the cold dross, we can offer ball mill and aluminium dross sieving machine for the solution.

5.What are the products and the residue material?

Aluminium that recovered from aluminium dross can be made ingot or put into melting furnace for the remelting.   The residue will be dross and dust.  If the processing quantity is big, we can offer aluminium dross processing machine+aluminium dross cooling machine+ bag impulse dust collector for the solutions.

6.How can the residue be disposed?

Our dross cooling machine can cool the hot dross processed by dross processing machine quickly into normal temperature and also it has sieving function, sieve the dross into different grades, in general, it is 40-80 mesh, (40-80) mesh toφ8mm, more thanφ8mm, the aluminum content in the 80 mesh aluminum dross is less than 3%. it will be bagged in the dross cooling machine.  For the big block, it can be recycled too.

7.What is the capacity and cost of your machines.

If you can give us the detailed following information, such as the processing quantity per day, the workshop layout etc, we will make the project design for you and we offer the total solutions for your existing and future dross recovery problems! 

8.What is the energy consumption and cost of operation?

No need any fuel in the operation for our dross processing machine. We can offer the detailed information if you can give us the processing quantity.  

For our dross processing machine, the installed capacity is from 7.75 to 10KW and no need any fuel in the operation, it use the residual heating for the processing.

9.Do you use only mechanical processing crushing / grinding or use salt fluxes?

Our dross processing machine is mechanical processing and we don’t use any chemical flux to recover aluminium from aluminium dross.

But if the dross temperature is not hot enough, we need to put some heating flux to quick heat the dross temperature to get best recovery rate!

10.is there any hazardous waste / dust produced? Any environmental problem?

No, our dross processing machine is equipped with dust collector and for aluminium dross processing and aluminum dross cooling machine, we can equip bag impulse dust collector and it is environment friendly and it is new trend for the company operation.Baghouse dust collector is optional.
