Aluminum profile surface: scratching, scraping

Causes:

1.Impurities on aluminium ingot or segregation of ingot chemical composition

When there is a large amount of segregation float on the billets surface, and aluminum billets is not homogenized or the heat treatment is not good, there is a certain amount of hard metal particles in the aluminum billets, when the metal flows through the mold working belt during the extrusion process, these segregation or hard metal particles will be attached to the surface of the work belt or cause damage to the working belt, so aluminum profile is eventually scratched in the process.

2.There is the dopant in the mold cavity or working belt, and the hardness of the mold working belt is low

So that the surface of the working belt is damaged during the extrusion process and the aluminum profile is scratched.

3.There are unpacked aluminum profiles or graphite bars with hard inclusions on the roller stacker or cooling bed

Aluminum profile surface will be scratched when it come into contact with them.

4.aluminum profiles is conveyed from the discharging track to the cooling bed

The profile is scratched due to the fast speed.

5.Moving aluminum profile by manual in the run out table causes scratches on aluminum profile surface;

6. Friction or crushing between aluminum profiles during the transportation causes damage and scratches.

1.Strictly control the quality of the ingot chemical composition;

2.Improve the quality of mold,

3.Improve mold manufacturing precision and regular nitriding of the mold, strictly implement the nitriding process parameters;

4.Separate aluminum profile from the auxiliary tool with soft felt and plastic strip. Minimize contacting damage between aluminum profiles and accessories;

5.Lightly handled in the production, try to avoid moving or turning over aluminum profiles;

6.Place aluminum profiles properly in the material frame to avoid scratches and scraping.
