Definition:

The phenomenon is that the longitudinal axis of the ingot is not in a straight line.

The longitudinal direction of the billet is not straight, and the casting and homogenization process may cause bending.

Causes of bending of aluminium billet:

1. Improper installation or improper fixation of the casting mold, base and cover, or fault movement during casting;

2. Unstable operation of the casting machine;

3. The guide rail of the casting machine is not straight or the guide rail gap is too large, and the base is unstable;

4. The uneven cover makes the casting mold skewed

5. Deformation of casting mold, improper taper or poor gloss, causing the local suspension to bend

6. Improper lifting or placing;

7. The homogeneous rack is uneven, and the amount of cooling water in the early stage is too large.

Solutions for aluminium billet bending:

1. Install the casting mold correctly;

2. Frequently check the casting equipment to eliminate abnormalities in time;

3. Homogeneous racks are flat, air-cooled, then water cooling before entering the cooling furnace;

4. Check and adjust the casting machine frequently to make it stable and not shake during operation;

5. Assemble the mold, base and cover plate correctly to ensure both levelness and verticality, as well as centering, and tighten them after adjustment to prevent movement during the casting process;

6. Choose a mold with a smooth surface, a suitable taper, and a straight, and pay attention to the operation at the beginning to prevent the billet from hanging.
